Summer Reading

Adult Summer Reading

June 1st – July 28th

Here’s what to do…

  1. Come to the library beginning June 1st (you can register at any time during Summer Reading) to sign up and receive your 1st reading log.
  2. Read 7 books, newspapers and/or magazines.
  3. List the titles & authors of the books you read on your 1st reading log (received during sign-up).
  4. Bring your completed 1st reading log to the library for a free library tote bag, one Library Buck & a chance in the prize drawing.
  5. Library Bucks may be used towards library fines and/or purchases during the library’s book sales.  They may not be used to pay for copies, prints, faxes or the replacement of library materials.
  6. Additional reading logs will be available after you have completed the 1st reading log.  With each completed log, you will receive one Library Buck & entry in the drawing for one of three $50 gas cards.
  7. The drawing will be held on Saturday July 28th at 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the library where we will provide brunch while you discuss the books you read during the program.  You do not have to be present to win gas cards.

 

 

 


Kid’s Summer Reading
    June 1st - July 5th                                   ages 3 – 5th grade

Once again, you have the opportunity to attend Summer Reading at 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., whichever is more convenient for you.

Here’s what to do…

  1. Come to the library beginning June 13th (you can register at any time during Summer Reading) to sign up and receive your FREE book bag with more free stuff, schedule and first reading log.
  2. Read or listen to 5 chapter books…if you don’t read chapter books…read or listen to 25 picture books… if you can’t read on your own…be a listener!
  3. List the titles of the books you read on the green reading log (included in your book bag).
  4. Bring your completed green reading log to the library for free local and regional coupons and other special surprises!
  5. After you have completed the green reading log, complete the blue reading log (included in your coupon bag) and bring it in for a FREE book from our selection.
  6. Additional reading logs will be available after you have completed the green and blue reading logs. With each completed log you can enter for our grand prize drawings on July 5th.

Teen Summer Reading
      June 1st – July 10th                             grades 6th – 12th

 

 

  1. Come to the Library beginning June 1st (you can register at any time during Summer Reading) to sign up and receive your first bingo book log.
  2. List the titles of the books, magazines and newspapers that you read on your bingo book log. You can fill up as many reading logs as you need.
  3. For every line that you complete on your bingo book log, you will be entered into the prize drawing.
  4. For every program that you attend, you will receive your choice of a Library Buck or an additional entry into the prize drawing and a prize.
  5. Library Bucks may be used towards library fines and/or purchases during the library’s book sales.  They may not be used to pay for copies, prints, faxes or the replacement of library materials.
  6. During the last program (July 10th), we will have a prize drawing for various gifts.

Summer Reading @ Your Bookmobile

Don’t forget!  If you can’t make it to the Library, you can still participate in Summer Reading. Visit the bookmobile any time to sign up for any  program. For the bookmobile’s schedule, call us at 654-8535.

 

A large genealogical collection (books and microfilm) includes individual family files, local histories, census records, Kentucky death certificates, The Falmouth Outlook and the E.E. Barton collection of Northern Kentucky families.
