Teachers

Teachers are vital in the development of our children and community.  No one recognizes their contribution more than us at the Pendleton County Public Library.  We know the job is taxing and we want to help.  We offer many benefits for teachers and teacher aides.   We want to be a resource for our schools and teachers.

We have created some special advantages available to teachers only.

Partnering for Programs:

We are a resource for our community and that includes our students, teachers, and schools.  Partnering for programs is a way to reach more of our community.  We want to work with you to share the accomplishments of our students.   We would love to host displays of class projects, choir and/or band concerts, drama presentations, Gifted and Talented displays, etc.  Want to partner with us to offer educational programs for your students?  No matter what you need, big or small, contact us and we will be happy to work with you.

Extended Check-Out Time:

Teachers will receive a four-week check-out period instead of our normal two-week check-out time.

Required Reading Lists:

Send us a list of your required reading books and we can have them available for your students to check out.

Library Tours and Research Projects:

We want you and your students to be familiar with your public library.  Please feel free to contact us if you would like to bring your class to the library for a tour or research project.  We try to make the experience both fun and informative and will work with you to accomplish whatever goals you might have for your students.

Materials Request:

If you need materials for a classroom subject, we can help!  Simply complete the Teacher Material Request Form at the bottom of this page and we will be happy to help.  Can’t get to the Library to pick the items up?  Our Outreach Vehicle would be happy to deliver your items directly to your school.

NKU Steely Library Reciprocal Borrowing:

Patrons from the Library may borrow books and Center for Integrative Natural Science and Mathematics’ (CINSAM) STEM Kits from NKU Steely Library by providing a valid photo ID and their library card.  CINSAM is dedicated to enhancing the teaching, learning and application of science, technology, engineering and mathematics within P-16 classrooms throughout Northern Kentucky.

Outreach Vehicle:

The Outreach Vehicle is a service we provide to our community.  This service is available to our schools as well.  In addition to offering remote access to library materials, we also offer in-class programs.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to call us at 859-654-8535.
